BABA

The game is all about caring for your baba, a virtual companion that will evolve over time. Which you can customize and play with!

At the beginning of the game a mystical creature called The Stork will land on the island and present the player a magical bubble. And with a magical scroll it will ask the player to choose one of the creatures on the island to put inside of it. This choice is definite and it will take weeks to months until the baba is fully grown.

Which can entice the player to try another once it’s fully grown.

THE STORK

When a baba is fully grown the stork will come to the island and thank the player for nurturing the baba. And then prompts you if he can take it to a family where it can live out the rest of its life. Which leaves the player with a choice. If choose to let the baba go they will have the opportunity to grow another one with the now empty bubble, and start the nurture process again!

But your baba might be out of sight, but not out of mind. And it will occasionally send updates through bottled messages about its ventures in the real world!

PROGRESSION

Baba likes to eat... a lot. And most of the core gameplay loops revolve around taking care of farms and recourses to supply your little buddy with what he needs. In return, he will drop starshards, that you and the clinklets bring to the generator to give it power to the house and the recycler
The red lining of the game is logging in daily to find new things beached up that can will slowly help with tasks that are more repetitive.

A lot of the systems will reward the player for logging in daily to get more rewards. Slowly people will make the island feel like their second home, and this is encouraged by giving enough choice for decoration. But the game should not punish the player for not playing the game.

In a way it is encouraged to leave the game for a while. So when you come back you will come back to something different than you left it, giving a fresh new perspective.

THE RECYCLER

Our main gameplay revolves around the recycler. You’ll check into the game daily to put washed up plastic into it to get random things like cosmetics, furniture, decorations and toys.

PERSISTENCE

The game is okay with you going away for a while. But this time spent away will reflect back on the island. After a set amount of time different overgrowth states will trigger. And if the island is overgrown you won’t be plucking weeds manually, as you spend time on the island, it gradually begins to tidy itself.

WEATHER SYSTEMS

Weather is random, and it should make every play session feel a little different. Naturally gentle rain on rolling waves, soft breeze of wind, distant thunder or even a tropical storm. All of these situations will have an effect of the atmosphere on the island It can as well creature unique moments. You might find yourself floating in warm water together with your pet, the world quiet and still around you.
